The Ginger Bistro all began in October 2017, when Emmet started cooking in a unique location at Wexford Golf Club less than 5 minutes from Wexford Town.

The restaurant was named “The Ginger Bistro” after his daughter Isobel, who is kind fun loving, cheeky and vibrant.

Our food is locally sourced, seasonal, and everything is carefully cooked by our skilled team of chefs.

Ginger Bistro offers a friendly relaxed informal feel, this is the perfect choice with fabulous views of Wexford Town.

ABOUT THE CHEF

EMMET MAHER

I have been cooking for the past 30 years in Restaurants and Hotels around the world. I enjoy the challenge of the kitchen. What excites me most is I get to see the instant results of my efforts making people happy with my food. I still love cooking and I am passionate about what I do.

My food is somewhat traditional, but I have a very innovative brain which leads to creative dishes. I use simple ingredients but in a way that makes them shine. I also like to spend time front of house meeting my customers.

Aside from food Football is my other big passion, I also love fizzy cola bottles and I simply couldn’t go for a week without them.
